Ford has deployed its innovative EcoBoost engine performance technology in the Mustang via a turbocharged four-cylinder that manages an impressive 310 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque when properly fed a diet of 93 octane gasoline. Equally impressive is the car's EPA fuel economy rating: 21 mpg city and 32 mpg highway, or 25 mpg combined. The EcoBoost engine accelerates nicely without having to visit the redline area, which is a sharp contrast to the four-cylinder variety of the Chevy Camaro.
